The 250th anniversary of teenager Betsy Dowdy's cold, rainy night time ride is 2025.  Betsy, Hertford/s own Paul Revere rode her pony from Currituck, through the sound and all the way to Hertford - over 40 miles to warn General Skinner about the British advance.  At the Betsy Fest we will unveil the new Betsy mural that will be part of the NC Mural Trail of 100 murals in 100 counties.  Expect antique and vintage vendors, shopping, food, music, mini ponies, contests, activities and a local teen will be named Betsy 2025! This event is free and open to the public!
